Description

The 50HRC-S Cored Wire 3.2mm 25kg basket is a heavy-duty hardfacing solution designed to withstand moderate impact and abrasive wear. This flux-cored wire produces a martensitic weld deposit with a hardness of approximately 50 HRC, offering a balanced combination of toughness and wear resistance. It’s ideal for industries such as agriculture, mining, construction, and earthmoving.

Thanks to its 3.2mm diameter, the wire provides deep penetration and is perfect for surfacing large components that require strong buildup. The 25kg basket format enables extended welding runs, making it ideal for high-output applications or plant maintenance work where efficiency matters.

This wire works well for rebuilding and protecting components like mixer blades, bulldozer blades, crusher parts, ploughshares, and screw conveyors. It operates using DC+ polarity and performs best with open arc welding setups. Because it’s self-shielded, no shielding gas is needed—perfect for field repairs or windy outdoor environments.

Welders appreciate its stable arc, low spatter levels, and easily removable slag, all of which improve speed and consistency. Additionally, you can apply it in multiple layers, allowing precise control over surface thickness and wear resistance.

For thicker or high-carbon steels, preheating and slow cooling are advised to reduce the risk of cracking. This wire is an excellent choice when you need abrasion resistance without sacrificing impact durability.
